Leah and Garrett are one cute couple. They are also extremely laid back! That makes for one happy photographer and one incredible engagement session. It wasn’t until the day off their session that we had a concrete plan that we would actually follow through with.
You see, shooting in the mountains is VERY hit or miss. There are things like road closures that come up because of fallen tree limbs, or even because of snow in the middle of the spring. Luckily, if you’re plugged into the NC mountain scene enough you know where to look for those kind of last minute updates. So that’s what I did!
Closer to their session we had decided to play it safe, but when I saw an update that all roads were good to go, I reached out that morning and we made it all happen. We got to make a pit stop at a waterfall before we trekked up the mountain and I’m so glad we did! We had ourselves one adventures day that lead to some beautiful moments and an experience that I hope they’ll always remember. Because listen, it’s not JUST about the photos for me, I hope you get home after your session and can think about how much fun you just had with your favorite person. <3
